Made myself a fresh pasta sallad, chilled on the sofa watching movies on the TV, scratched my butt a couple of times, had an interesting discussion on ICQ, scratched my butt once more, and then I ended up here. Anyone drunk in the audience? (It is saturday night and it's summer after all. Or perhaps you're still out there.. I bet Paul is. Taking his last post into account, I figured he's mind bogglingly drunk by now. Should be transitioning to mind blowingly drunk real soon now :)) -- Denn du bist, was du isst! Got up early but can't remember what I did in the morning. Had lunch at my favorite Chinese restaurent and then slept the whole afternoon away (nearly four hours) Now feel superbly rested with nothing to do. Got Ju-on 2 on my desk but too freaked to watch it :-D Think I might catch Collateral tonite. Or maybe I'll go for a looong walk in the valley "One of the Georges," said Psmith, "I forget which, once said that a certain number of hours' sleep a day--I cannot recall for the moment how many--made a man something, which for the time being has slipped my memory."

I got up at about 6:20 (alarm went off at 6, hit snooze a couple times), had some cereal, then at 7 went out for a bike ride. Got home at about 10, talked to the manger who was having a garage sale out front (you can buy her 10-year-old Mac Performa with printer if you hurry!!!). The afternoon is a bit fuzzy (I'm always worn out after a long ride) but I remember watching the X Games. I totally want to do inline vert... if I start now I might be good enough for the X/Gravity Games by age 35. X| Now I'm about to watch a MSDN TV episode, then it's a Dodgers game at 7 PM. Its a japanese horor movie. Jap horror movies are like a billion times better than their lame English counterparts. Ju-on is being remade in English actually. But the japanese versions are faaar better. google it and check it out. Also check this link if you want to learn more about Jap horror movies http://www.bizarreingredients.co.uk/japan/japanfilm.htm[^] Warning! Its an adult link not for nudity or anything but for disturbing content. Jörgen Sigvardsson wrote: you're not a true geek! Intruder alert! :-D It gets worse. I play about 3 hours a day (badminton and tennis usually) and on weekends I play soccer with some guys. But they've gone out somewhere this weekend so missing that. Not bad today. I have been fighting a sinus infection, could not breath (with the nose) last night at all. So far tonight, wonderful! Ah the simple things in life :) For Lunch my daughter and I made a Shrimp/Salmon coctail thing (kind of like Kevichi (sp?), again some of the nice things in life. :) Waiting for Who's Line Is It to come on. I do not mind getting old. It beats all the other options that can think of.

Worked all day, and having ordered Szechuan for lunch, I never had a chance to eat lunch. Crispy spiced chicken doesn't reheat well, I'm afraid...:( Since work caused me to miss yet another belt test, I'm feeling rather cross and very much in favor of following Paul's sterling example. Being 9 hours behind him, however, I probably will need a couple of hours to catch up. In fact, when I left my apartment, it was totally fogged in down at the beach. First we got up at 5am to go and shoot Leeds Castle[^] with some guys who live in Kent from DPReview.com After that we headed up to London for a family braai with my aunt who is over here on holiday, visiting my cousin who is also working in London at the moment. That was great fun, especially as my aunt really enjoys her wine. All the old family stories started flowing.... Now, however, it's Sunday. Brend and I are heading down to Bewl Water, a lake in Sussex to do the 21Km (13 mile) offroad cycle around it. Looks like it'll be a scorcher! I do hope our new sunblock works well :~

No, not Doom III or dressing up as Halle Berrry and bashing bad guys, but borrowing a pressure washer from my neighbour and cleaning the paving around the house. Elaine (domesticated fluffy tigress) The tigress is here :-D
