I'm definately addicted to CP. Whether it's just to check out what everyone else is up to, to find a solution, help someone out, or writing articles. I just can't keep away. Chris, is the Submission Wizard a quicker and more effective way to get articles published? What does everyone think of "Unedited Reader Contributions" compared to 'standard' articles? How long does it take for a 'Wizard' article to become a 'Standard' article? Derek Lakin. Salamander Software Ltd.

Chris, is the Submission Wizard a quicker and more effective way to get articles published? I'm glad you asked! (anyone from Oz fans of the Curiosity Show?) I've just reworked the submission wizard so that it's now about 10X quicker for me (or anyone I drag into helping out) to edit and move articles into the main sections. Becuase of this my preference is definitely to have people submit their articles initially using the wizard. If you need to update articles then the changes mean I can get your updates posted much quicker. cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)

OK, I'll use the Wizard in future :) Any chance of posting my recent article (CButtonSSL) today? I need the code and haven't got it to hand :( Derek Lakin. Salamander Software Ltd.

I guess I'll put my hand up too (but that's a given, right? ;)) So the big question here is: what do you want more of, better of, or less of. (Disclaimer: there's only 24hrs in a day so I can't do everything - BUT I will try and concentrate on those things that are most important.) cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)

Chris, you do a terrific job. I'm addicted as well. :-) I have one request: Could you add a feature to allow someone to type in an ID for a message and jump to it? It would be nice to say "This topic was discussed already in message #xxx" and then be able to have another person type that ID in to jump to the message. I'm thinking of all the lost answers in the forums. Currently, the VC++ forum is treated like a giant newsgroup, even though every message is saved. The problem is that it's very hard to find an old thread. CodeGuy The WTL newsgroup: 880 members and growing ... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wtl

I'm not addicted. I feel that without my guidance, everyone here would fall victim to becoming bland, opinionless, god-worshipping drones. Therefore, I monitor the goings on here, ready to step in when needed. :)

Hmm... well, i've been gone from CP for a while, and the thing that strikes me the most is "Overload". While I love the way the forums work, I think it would be better if when you went into a forum, you saw the list of threads instead of each message in all threads. Then when you click on a thread, you can see all the messages in that thread just like we have today, but only the messages in that thread are listed. This makes it easier to ignore threads i'm not interested in following (like Socc.. er i mean football threads ;) ) When you're gone for a few weeks, trying to catch up becomes "Overload".
