Wouldn't it be cool if there was a way to highlight text IN ANY APPLICATION, right-click and choose "Check Spelling". You could use it when posting here, inside of code, etc. I don't know about you, but I always copy/paste text into a new Outlook message, check spelling, then paste the corrected version over top of the original. It's a pain. Barry Etter

There was something just like this a few years ago. It used DDE AFAIK to figure out what word you had selected. I just googled but couldn't find it. Still, may be worth you doing a bit of searching for. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Jörgen Sigvardsson wrote: "Gassho rei, Watson-san!" Crikey! ain't life grand?

I wrote one years ago for some Novell product. I Can't remember much about it now except it involved hacking/subclassing the programs windows message loop and then calling up word perfect's spell checker. I remember it was somewhat wobbly performance wise but that could have just been my code. :-D pseudonym67 My Articles[^] "They say there are strangers who threaten us, In our immigrants and infidels. I seem to remember reading somewhere that MacOS X has this feature - and that it might be in Longhorn when MS release it.... So for now, get a Mac ;P Stuart Dootson 'Java, Basic, who cares - it's all a bunch of tree-hugging hippy cr*p'
