OK, I know I have bought this upon myself but I need help before I use my laptop as a discuss. I downloaded IE 6 on Windows 2000 Professional SP2, I have obviously then clciked a button on a dialog box that has popped up and I haven't read the message carefully enough. Now when I click on a zip file link on Code Project, instead of downloading the file to disk it actually opens the file in WinZip. How do I change this back to the default behaviour? Michael, 1. Open windows explorer and select the Tools | Folder Options... menu option. 2. Select the "File Types" tab. 3. Scroll down to the bottom of the list box. You should find something called "ZIP WinZip File". 4. Select this entry and press the "Advanced" button. 5. Check the "Confirm open after download" option hope this works. Try shift click or something like that. It only does that for local files for me but I don't know why. -Matt Newman :suss:

Matt thanks very much, that seems to have fixed it. Michael Martin Pegasystems Pty Ltd Australia martm@pegasystems.com +61 413-004-018 "Don't belong. Never join. Think for yourself. Peace" - Victor Stone
