    I don't think it will prevent you skipping the ads. The proposal is to ban the use of technology to skip them. I think that means some kind of automatic skipping gizmo and wouldn't be intended to make it illegal for a couch potato to press a button on the remote control. As long as society is prepared to consume stuff that's partly funded by ads (like CodeProject) they will have to accept the ads. I would (usually) rather expend a little mental effort to ignore the ads than pay more for the product/service. I imagine that the ad-ignoring part of my brain must be fairly well developed now (unlike the rest!)
