... ok.. I know next to nothing about photography... How does one get pictures like this http://tinyurl.com/4ydb9[^]. Good tripod and long exposures. Of course, with Photoshop you can put those stars in any picture if you wanted ;) Time exposures like that are also great for electrical storms only not quite as long of exposure. And while those ultimately make for big storms, they move a tree not. Still though, you can't really resolve the tree leaves in that picture, so the leaves might be twitching around, but it's not often that you'll actually see branches moving unless there's a big blow. BlogingIf you actually read the text below the picture, you would have your answer. "29 images (each exposure was 1 minute) combined using Image Stacker. This is a synthesized half-hour exposure. The light on the underside of the trees is from a car that drove by while I was taking these images."
