Continuing what David Stone said in his post Drool[^] down there… Caution: If you are planning to play Half-Life 2 and do not want the surprises to be spoilt, please just record this link and read it after you finish the game. :suss: For the rest of us, like myself, who are not going to get to play the game for a long long time, and are impatient to peep in, this article explains the plot from Half-Life 1 to Half-Life 2 in a very nice logical sci-fi manner. Kudos to Chan "Ventro" Karunamuni for this[^] fantastic write-up :rose: Warning: spoilers within :omg: Salil Khedkar [^]

I've seen that page before, very nicely done. I know he doesn't comment on what the Vortigaunts say, but for people who have HL2... (select to read): If after the firefight you go back to the Vortigaunt with Colonel Cabbage in the basement of that building where he gives you the rocket launcher, you can have a half-hour conversation with it that introduces various borg-like abilities of the Vortigaunts and suggests that you might have them too. It also talks about you both working for the same 'people', being one of the same, and gives support to some of the things said in the HL story guide Salil links to like the role of Xen, the Combine, the Nihilanth, etc. This Vortigaunt seems to talk more than the others you encounter in the game. I can't wait for new chapters to be released over Steam, this story has obviously had a lot of thought put into it.
