Hi, I need to replace a PC's hard drive and need to copy all the files. I have looked at Norton's Ghost software and it seems to full fill all my needs. I would like to know what the rest of the people think about this software before I purchase it. Are there better alternatives available? Thanks, Richard.

I prefer Acronis Truimage http://www.acronis.com[^]. It has great recovery options and can even image your system drive while your are in Windows Cheers James

yes, try dd in any little distribution of linux (like knoppix that can boot from a disk and do what you need without any effort).

DriveImage has worked very well for me. An expert is somebody who learns more and more about less and less, until he knows absolutely everything about nothing.
