Hi, This is my first post (although I been a quiet reader for a while), hi to all. On win98 (back in the old days) we used to have a Generic Text only driver (used mostly to print to a file) that would allow you to print on custom size paper (not paper, but if the report you are printing is to wide, you would use this to send it to excel, so that you can print what you need). But one of my co-workers (not me, really) has win2000 and can't print on the custom size (it's not even an option) only legal, letter, etc (noting fits though), any way to force feed it to the win2k box?. Any black/white magic, brujeria, potions, ideas, code, pointers, hot friends, etc. will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rodrigo.

On win98 (back in the old days) Ugh, make me feel old. :) Some of us date all the way back to device drivers for CP/M. I am also well versed in the art of enabling the high 32KB RAM on a tandy color computer. :) Tim Smith Descartes Systems Sciences, Inc.

I didn't mean old as in many years ago, but old as in all the hacks for it are out there and if not easy to do, at least doable without a lot of digging (tampering, editing, file erasing, random editing, anything that could posibly work). With win2k, hacks are still coming out and not everybody knows about them, so although I know how to do some things in win98, I haven't gotten a clue as to how to even approach it in win2k (im new to this Nt thing). I don't go that far back. I was lucky enough that I don't have to worry about the memory or speed of the computers I develop for. In house developer for custom applications. (In other words loose cannon, with a lot of gunpowder), all computers here are PIII 850 with 512 mg of ram and 25 gig of space. Talk about no need for optimization (just kidding, I take great pride when I can shave processing time, especially milliseconds). Rodrigo.

doubles speed of ROMsBasic programs by 1 1/2. didn't always worked though. (disk or printers):) like I said, there some things I know, but this win nt thing, is puzzeling me. Registry entries that are not there (got moved, or missing) Security :You are not allowed to perform that operation, please contact your admin!!! (WTF where is my win2k disk, I guess I'll be reformating my disk) I can't even boot from CD (neither have access to change the bios), sh**t I gues I have to install a second hardrive Ntsf , you don't have access to that file,(come on) You know what i mean, it's like learning the backways again :) Rodrigo.
