I'm sorry to hear that Matt. I hope it passes real soon. :rose: I had a Rubella (German Measles) infection over Christmas so I know exactly how you feel! :sigh: Anna :rose: Riverblade Ltd - Software Consultancy Services Anna's Place | Tears and Laughter "Be yourself - not what others think you should be" - Marcia Graesch "Anna's just a sexy-looking lesbian tart" - A friend, trying to wind me up. It wasn't too bad, apart from the itching (which was maddening!). At least it wasn't shingles though. Tuesday of this week my spring semester started, Thursday of this week I finally went to the doctor and was diagnosed with mono (also known as the kissing disease, its a virus that spreads through saliva) X| I mean its not all bad, I mean I get a week off work (the doctor wanted two but I haggled her down to one) and I'm actually supposed to eat things like ice cream etc. But missing a week of work unpaid sucks, constantly being tired sucks, i had to drop my easiest class this semester (swimming) because I could rupture my spleen (evidently bad), i can't lift anything ten pounds and over and to top everything off its snowing I have a weekend off and I can't go snowmobiling or four wheeling. Oh and did I mention its my 21st birthday tuesday? So I'd appreciated it if you guys/girls kept the lounge nice and interesting as I will have plenty of free time and will need some entertainment. Meanwhile I'm off to bed until class time. Matt Newman

I got mono my senior year of high school. The one mistake I made back then was whenever i laid down for awhile i would start to feel "normal" again so I kept getting up and try to do normal stuff. It was the wrong plan. The best advice is keep resting and let it run it's course. Robert S.

I think I'm through most of the tired stuff (at least I hope). Unfortunately this was before school started and I was working full time and at work I can't even sit down. That was miserable. Matt Newman

Ouch, I'm sorry to hear that. :( One of my ex girlfriends had Glandular Fever (a.k.a. Mono) once (no it wasn't my fault :P); it had her out of action for 6 months and at one stage the doctors were concerned for her life. Then again, she was quite an extreme case :) I found it somewhat odd how she told me this a month or so after we started dating :P Best wishes - hope you recover quickly! This space for rent! I can feel with you. I've got Mono after Xmas 1999 (when I was 23). My throat was so swollen that I was not able to drink, so I had to go to the Hospital and spent the change to 2000 there. Even worse, because the Hospital time was distributed over 2 Years, I've got no money back from the health insurance (Here in Switzerland, you have a value that is called 'Franchise'. Up to this value, you have to pay your Bills for health services all yourself. After this Value, the health insurance pays 90% of the costs.). Get well soon! Roland
