It'll be very cool, once they get a sufficient number of books in the system. At very least, it should improve the accuracy of literary quotations floating around the 'Net...

Hmmm, the science of avoiding reposting I suppose is beyond me. Maybe Chris and I can have a pow wow and see if there's a better way to do this beyond zealous Lounge vigilance. David

Maybe a URL search through the Lounge first? Usually reposts consist of links to something that has already been posted. If you could scan the archives for a particular URL, then you might be able to avoid things like that. (This is a serious suggestion, actually. I sat there thinking about what all reposts have in common...and I think that that's the key.)

No - you need to approach it the other way and say "This might be a repost but I don't care - it's still a cool story". Repost without Remorse. cheers, Chris Maunder

I for one welcome reposts - there is no way I can read every message that travels through the Lounge and I've got a lot of cool information from reposted links.

A better answer would have been, but you're Dave too. :-D "For that one fraction of a second, you were open to options you would never have considered. That is the exploration that awaits you. Not mapping stars and studying nebula, but charting the unknown possibilities of existence." - Q (Star Trek: The Next Generation) Web - Blog
