validateRequest = "false" not working

( Note: sorry for the cross-post for any Niners. ) I have some ASPX pages that handle querystrings with angle brackets. On the systems I've run so far, I have had to put validateRequest="false" in the Page directive to keep it from giving me an error. Now I've tried to run the same pages from the laptop described below, and it gives the message as if I had validateRequest="true" It just seems that that option is being ignored. My first guess was that it was running the 1.0 version of the framework where the validateRequest attribute was not supported. However, if that were the case, I would expect it to say it's an invalid attribute. When I Response.Write the Environment.Version, I get 1.1.4322. So it seems IIS is using the correct version of the framework.
