A team of Australian drug sniffer dogs has been sent back for retraining, after it was found they could only track talcum powder, not cocaine. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/4568321.stm

Call me old-fashioned - but I was wondering why customs should find a large waterproof coat...then I realised you meant Macdonalds... Stuart Dootson 'Java, Basic, who cares - it's all a bunch of tree-hugging hippy cr*p'

We can only hope they're training the seeing eye dogs to the same standard.

:suss: Pssst. You see that little light on your monitor? That's actually a government installed spy camera. Smile and wave to big brother!

Eww, it would be cold and... even more disgusting than it was hot. Surely the kid knew he'd be able to find a McD's within seconds of leaving the plane?

Nope, Dunedin "airport" is little more than a tin shed in a field about 20kms from Dunedin. There are barely any taxis there, let alone fast food outlet! There is, interestingly, a John Deere tractor dealership next door to Dunedin airport. Gice you a wee hint of the kind of socio-political environment of Otago... ;P Cheers, Jon
