A new study of DNA suggests North America was originally settled by just a few dozen people who crossed a land bridge from Asia during the last Ice Age.[^] Steve

Nishant Sivakumar wrote: Indian Breds (considering they came from Asia and India had the earliest civilization (Indus Valley) in Asia (the world actually) Not sure I'd say the Indus civilization was the first, though it was among the first. I think the Sumerians beat them (although I see quite a bit of variation in the supposed dates of Indus and Sumerian civilizations). Even in light of the variations, I think you'd be hard-pressed to show the Indus civilization predated the Sumerians (as opposed to being a contemporary civilization). Also, genetic markers show the North American population coming from Caucus/Persia region with some "coastal, boat people" markers, rather than the Indian subcontinent. http://www3.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/atlas.html[^] (Also note that the "Indian" genetic markers M52 and M20, which arose around 30,000 years ago, are found heavily within India, but rarely outside of India, and these markers do not appear in American Indians, who settled the Americas 20,000-15,000 years ago.) ----------------------------------------------------- Empires Of Steel[^]

Our immigration laws were much more strict back then... "Where are we going so fast? And why am I in this handbasket?"
