Hi, I used to be able to host an ActiveX Exe in a clientSide Web Page. Can I do similar with ASP.Net with a Windows Application ?? I've tried using the same framework as hosting a control but the EXE just shows as the X..... (it should kick off a form)... Cheers Chubby..

Hi there, Yes, you can do the same thing in an ASP.NET application, but with a Windows User control not a Windows Application. In this case, you simply convert a bit of your code from a windows application to a windows user control, then use the object tag to host it in a web page. You can also take a quick look at an example from the link Hosting a Windows Control in a Web Form [^]

I loaded an ActiveX EXE that displayed a form with no problem in ASP.NET using the usual approach i.e adding syntax. As far as my limited testing went, the behavior appeared to be pretty much the same as loading the AX from a regular web page. Robert
