Will managed code completely replace C++ game programming...
-
I have seen some features in the dxsdk samples from c++ that don't work on my computer, graphics card, but i have a pretty good graphics card still, its an ati 9000 series, i have to get a new one i know, but when i ran the same sample through c# sample it loaded perfectly... so this is one reason... so what do you think, because i like managed dx alot better, even though its a diff language, C++ -> C# but no big diffi and i think it will be the future of all games, what do you think? IM PROUD TO BE A GMAIL;

I don't know. I imagined that games programming would be one of the few remaining niches for C++! But then I have no experience of games programming. Kevin

I suspect when it comes to real performance for the game engine C++ still has advantages. There is nothing to stop you mixing lanugages within a system as long as your architecture is right though. Elaine :rose: The tigress is here :-D
