    anyone know how to make a postback to an aspx page from javascript without calling any web control? can i call __doPostBack() without passing any params ? i tried it but it didn't work any ideas ? Thanx.

      Hi there, In fact, the __doPostBack() function generated by the ASP.NET is a wrapper of the submit method of the form element. So you simply get reference to the form element, then invoke the submit method to cause the page to post back.

        thanx for reply, i used Page.GetPostBackEventRefrenece() in the Page_Load event and then used the __doPostBack() in javascript and it works fine now.. thanx for help.
