    I had to run regsvr32 on 6 different system dll's to get it working this morning. It appears to have broken for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Anybody else had this issue? :|

      I can confirm that. On multiple distinct networks on various ISP's. I have clients unable to reach Windows Update. I have not tried for about 30 minutes. I figured it was MS doing there normal drop key services and not tell anyone routine. They seem to be very good at it. It's really tricky when you just installed a new firewall and you cannot understand why Windows Update isn't working. {SIGH}

              I would suspect a virus infection. Several of them disable Windows Update (among other things) in an attempt to keep you from finding/running removal tools for them.
