I'm unhappy at the business trying to pass off enhancements as bug fixes: trivial. I'm unhappy at the project manager for falling for it: trivial. I'm unhappy that I'm stuck in a basement (where geeks are stored) with only the merest hint of the glorious sunshine outside: trivial. I am, however, very happy that I just ate a wonderful Pret sandwich: Turkey Club. Mmmm. I'm even happier that the Central Line was jam-packed this morning with commuters determined not to be put off by cowardly murderers. And I'm really happy that I had a great weekend of golf in the sunshine and spent some good time with my family. So, what on earth is there to be REALLY unhappy about?

I'm assuming it's a vague unhappiness. Seriously, if you're really looking help here you need to give us a little more to work with. Generally depressed? love life got you down? life feels stagnant? job sucks? no money? no friends? feel unchallenged and bored? BW

                        All the chickens get it.
And them singing canaries get it.
                        Even strawberries get it.

Smiling makes you happy. (scientifically proven fact) So -

                            Smile!

It was a throw away line that most people didn't perceive as one. Alcohol is great for getting over unhappiness if it isn't long term. Other than that like everything else in life it isn't a panacea. Michael Martin Australia "I controlled my laughter and simple said "No,I am very busy,so I can't write any code for you".
