Karl Rove outed Valerie Plame: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8525978/site/newsweek/[^] ... even more good stuff here: http://www.rawstory.org/[^] Of course, most intelligent Americans knew this already, it just took a few years for the wheels of justice to grind this far. Just as we also knew that the trumped-up "war on terror" would result in more terrorism, not less: http://www.canoe.ca/NewsStand/LondonFreePress/News/2005/07/10/1124818-sun.html[^] I'm not even gonna mention WMDs... well, I guess I just did.

I suspect he will be "accountable" just in the same way Rumsfeld was in the Abu Ghraib case: find some Joe Smith to blame.

Jim, Forget the WMD's ... the one's who vouched on that are now seen as clowns all over the world ... Politics is not an easy profession and hence quite well paid too ... but the perks are what really count in that occupation ... the power etc. ... everyone does a little for themselves and their families ... the trick is to COVER it up so that the whole country is not ridiculed ... that is where the WMD's boomeranged and will be ridiculed in history books FOREVER ... Now what Clinton did was not good either but atleast there were no unnecessary deaths of 20 year olds in a FAKE war in Iraq. Getting to the War on Terror in Iraq ... how do we measure success out there? ... I mean what is it that we want ? ...

it'll be a treat to see just how finely all those self-proclaimed patriots can parse the applicable laws and how delicately they can finesse the ethical issues as they try to defend Karl and his boss - and they will. to double the fun, every time they open their mouths, apply The Hillary Test: would they parse, mince, duck and weave as carefully to prove the accused's innocence if Hillary Clinton was accused of outing a CIA agent who was working on national security matters, just to try to discredit the agent's husband ? of course we all know the answer, but it'll be a delight to see them prove it over and over again. dance, my pretties. dance! Here's a response you can predict from at least one CP regular: (can you guess who?) Rove is a right-wing capitalist like me. He's no Marxist. This means that it doesn't matter how dirty, corrupt, unethical, or sinister he is. He's got my full support. The left is simply trying to bring him down because he's a conservative. :sigh: Alvaro

Democrats give other Democrats the benefit of the doubt and give no such leeway to Republicans. Republicans give other Republicans the benefit of the doubt and give no such leeway to Democrats. Why don't we all try to let the investigation finish before jumping to conclusions for once.

Democrats give other Democrats the benefit of the doubt and give no such leeway to Republicans. Republicans give other Republicans the benefit of the doubt and give no such leeway to Democrats. Why don't we all try to let the investigation finish before jumping to conclusions for once.
