Yeah I know this is getting old, and no one like a moaner (least of all myself), but own up. Which one of you works for BT? Someone must have told them I disliked them for them to treat me this badly... I've been trying to connect since 7:30! (it's now nine o'clock) Total cost stolen: ~£1.50 Total connection time: 1 hour 32 minutes (i.e. it took over 90 minutes to get a lasting connection). Total connection attempts: 86 Total connected time: 7 mins (Remember that you are charged 4.5p for the first minute of each call paid upfront, and on approx 30 attempts I was disconnected approx 5 seconds after connection). After twenty minutes I was beginning to wonder if maybe the servers were down, but a quick phone call identified that they were not, they were just preventing me dialling in *because I used the service too much*. If this company were Microsoft, I’d have won a huge cash settlement against them for breaching various guaranteed service contracts on their behalf. As it is, I can't afford to do anything about it but whine and cuss. And if tonight’s problems were not enough to get me annoyed (even though they are obviously deliberate considering various factors identified by external watchdogs and leaked by BT employees), I managed to download 8MB in under a minute from the country council offices in Exeter this afternoon. But even they have to rent their line from NTL to get it... David Wulff, Founder of The BLA Sonork [100.9977:Dave] what is this C++ thing that everyone is talkin about?? is it like a progam similar to Visual Basic? www.IHateBT.com Dialup attempts required to post this message: 86

You must have had a laugh on Tuesday when BT's entire ADSL infrastructure came to a crashing halt. Michael :-)
