I just got Oh No, More Lemmings. I've been trying to find Worms, to see how it stacks to the PC version we play every lunchtime. Shadow of the Beast, North & South, Xenon, Paradroid, Wizball ( I think there was an Amiga version ), Silkworm, Elite, Supremacy..... I don't have time for this... ;-) Christian After all, there's nothing wrong with an elite as long as I'm allowed to be part of it!! - Mike Burston Oct 23, 2001

The C64 version of Paradroid was much better (from memory). It scrolled bother horizontally and vertically, but the Amiga one only scrolled in one direction... Have fun, Paul Westcott.

Not true. I downloaded and played the AMiga Paradriod and I'm certain it scrolled in every direction. It really didn't *add* to the C64 version, which was somehow a bit more playable, but I don't think the differences were that major, more of a 'feel' thing. Now I've said that I'm sure I'll fire it up again tomorrow (don't have it here ) and find it only scrolls one way.... Inspired by a thread below, I've just downloaded WinUAE and Cannon Fodder - man, that is STILL a great game. Any other Amiga gaming fans in the room ? Christian After all, there's nothing wrong with an elite as long as I'm allowed to be part of it!! - Mike Burston Oct 23, 2001

I never owned an Amiga, though my brother did. I stayed with the ZX Spectrum right to the bitter end. And believe it or not a version of Lemmings was released for it too! One question, where can I find WinUAE and the games to go with it? The last time I went looking I couldn't find any (most of the sites were gone or empty). Thanks Graham

To be honest I just fired up google, and all the URL's I bookmarked are at work. Just search for 'WinUAE download', then search for 'Kickstart Winuae download', and finally search for 'WinUAE download' If you don't find anything LMK and I'll send you some URL's from work. Anybody else remember BLAZEMONGER, the fastest Amiga game [n]ever written?

The RAW SPEED of BLAZEMONGER is so WILDLY INTENSE that nobody has EVER beaten this game. You will literally feel WIND AGAINST YOUR FACE as the images WHIP past your glazed eyes. The average player dies in FIFTEEN DIFFERENT WAYS before he can even PLUG IN THE JOYSTICK!!! The best-known high score is in the NEGATIVES!!!

            :) ;) ;P

Oh Baby!!! I LOVED the Amiga... every so often I get an attack of nostalgia and get the old beast out, if only to play Monkey Island. My favourite games were; o Monkey Island o Goblins o The Lost Vikings o Superfrog - Oh Man That Was Good! o and some others I can't think of now... -- Andrew.

Ahh, the monkey island trilogy. Monkey Island 2 was the best. 11 disks, you had to lay them out in front of you and switch them every scene. Thank god i bought that second disk drive.:) Simon Hey, it looks like you're writing a letter! Sonork ID 100.10024

Now that's a game.... When I was a kid games were so easy you could beat the high score blindfolded and playing with your toes. X| "Insert coin to continue...5...4...3...2...1...Game Over"

Stunt Car Racer. Now there was a fun game. Never found a racing game that beat it. Michael :-)
