MSNBC.com had an article which frightened me. It had to do with the FBI installing their Carnivore software remotely and using it to track PGP keystrokes. I, for one, don't believe we should sacrifice our freedom for security. So... If someone made a program which killed all non-essential processes on a users machine, this would likely kill the "Carnivore" program, would it not? In my opinion, filthy politicians are using the Sept. 11 attacks to achieve warped political controls by giving our government EVEN MORE power. I for one am starting to get really pissed off, and sick and tired of the U.S. government. How many people here feel we are slowly loosing our freedoms? I certainly do... http://www.msnbc.com/news/660096.asp?0dm=T18ST

http://www.stopcarnivore.org/what_is_carnivore.htm "...Carnivore/DCS1000 would be installed at the suspect's Internet service provider to scan all incoming and outgoing emails..." I suppose that this is essentially like wiretapping phone lines from the phone company headquarters. "das leid schlaft in der maschine" -Einstürzende Neubauten

I can see the reasoning behind the whole snooping idea. But I do feel that it's another attempt to control people by removing another level of freedom. I agree that the powers at be are using the recent events in the world to fast track all of these systems into operation. So where will it all end? Graham

I agree with your opinion that the politicians are using the attacks to there advantage. I to some extent i agree that some freedom should be sacrificed (at the airport), but the carnivore system is going too far. Visit Ltpb.8m.com
