Back in '95 I picked up Shanghai: Great Moments which is a Mah-Jong game. To give you an idea of how old this really is, it uses WinG for graphics. Also, back in the day I had only a 3x CD-ROM, and tile sets took 1 or 2 minutes to load. Nowadays I just make a CD image, mount it with Daemon Tools, and they load in seconds. :-D Anyway, I found this CD sitting on my shelf yesterday, fired it up, and it's still a nice relaxing game. It also has Rosalind Chao (Keiko O'Brien from TNG/DS9) who I really like. ;) Has anyone else found old games that still hold up over time? I'm not talking about 80s arcade games you play with MAME, but old PC games. --Mike-- http://home.inreach.com/mdunn/ While I can't be correct on all matters, I can make the reassuring claim that where I am inaccurate, I am at least definitively inaccurate. your :bob: with :vegemite: and  Sonork - 100.10414 AcidHelm

I remember Prince of Persia 1 and 2, Pacman, Gobman, Digger, Mario - all these games could be played on 8088 machines running DOS 4 :-) [except prince of persia 2] Nish Sonork ID 100.9786 voidmain

Hell yes - flashback by delphine software/U.S. Gold It used rotoscoped animation just like out of this world (by interplay) only it looked much more polished, and projected a blade runner sort of sci-fi atmosphere really well. And the sample that played when you fired your gun was *perfect*. And remember quest for glory? That series RULED.

My all time favorite graphic adventure game, "Day of the Tentacle" by Lucas Arts would be nice to play again. It's from about 1996 I think. I haven't seen a copy of it anywhere. I would love to play it again. Yehaw! "Two things, Donkey, Okay? Shut.... Up!" -Shrek

Oh man, I remember playing Shanghai: GM a lot during college. That was a great game (still have it too, although I think you need a patch to run it in Win98). I recently ran across some old LucasArts titles I had collecting dust such as Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle. They were easy and quick to finish, but entertaining with colorful characters and storylines. Matt
