Hello, not a programming question. I've been sing VM Ware, but recently I've got a bit fed up with DVD, and CD's not auto running, instead, having to pres F5 to make windows detect them. I think this also causes problems with Direct CD. I'm using W2K. Does anyone know how to switch this back on? I've uninstalled VMWare for the time being, but it did not reverse the settings. Thanks Giles

Can't seem to find this option in Win2k (it was available under the device settings in win98, why not win2k  ) Find the registry key HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom. Autorun should be set to 1, probably is at 0 right now. Hope this helps.

Any idea where that would be? I've done a search for it on the site, but no luck. What is it? Giles

Search for TweakUI on Google. You want version 1.33. Michael Martin Australia mmartin@netspace.net.au "Don't belong. Never join. Think for yourself. Peace" - Victor Stone
