Just take out a second, or third, loan on your house's equity. Everyone else is doing it and they don't seem to mind. http://money.cnn.com/2005/08/02/news/economy/savings/index.htm?cnn=yes

That's sad:( Even worse I just bought my first house last year so I probably don't have enough equity built up to afford the XBOX:sigh: ------------------------------------- Do not do what has already been done.

Man, I'd never get an NES if it was that price! :) Guess I grew up just in time. I don't remember my parents spending that much on it though. Hmm... funny how you forget when you're not buying:) ------------------------------------- Do not do what has already been done.

Well, that's gonna happen(kind of already has) soon enough. Our first child is due the end of this month so at least until they kid's old enough to play too I probably won't be getting in much playing time. Only reason to buy any of the systems now is because I'm kind of collecting all the Nintendo systems. I've got one of each even though the NES doesn't exactly work anymore:sigh: ------------------------------------- Do not do what has already been done.

I started collecting them when the good ol' grey 8 bit NES came out. I stopped collecting them right after :) Mine is still plugged into the TV and plays fine. But I just don't play it.

I doubt that if the XBOX comes out at $300. They won't be undersold or they'll lose more customers. ------------------------------------- Do not do what has already been done.

It doesn't matter much if PS3 (or is it PSX?) are a couple of hundred dollars more expensive. One of the reason PS and PS2 sold so many units was because of the myriads of (cheap) pirated CDs available esp. in Asia. Even here in Sydney you can get the modded chip and CDs if you know someone (there's been several stores opening and closing from what I heard). PS will still be majority as long as they can be pirated and none of the competitors (XBOX 360 and Revolution) are as easily pirated. Coincidentally, my friend has just got his GameCube modded and have been downloading and playing GC ROMs on it. And, no. I don't have PS2 (although I have PS1). I have GameCube with legitimate games and I can say the quality of GC games are much better than PS (based on quality/number of games). Edbert
