If I had a bottomless pit of money I would have to get myself an Aston Martin Vanquish. And then to fill the rest of my garage I'd have to have a Lotus Elise, the new one and a Lotus Esprit (the white Bond one! :cool: ). In fact if I had a bottomless pit of money I'd have one of all of the Bond cars as well as the Lotus and the Aston Martin Vanquish. :cool: OK, I'm off to setup a new bank now! :) Graham

An Aston is just the thing! 'd Love one. But I'd have to go for a TVR, but not the new one, a Chimera probably. Not sure if I'd try to go anywhere in it at any speed, just turn it over to listen to the engine noise and you can't hear it properly if you're going fast. Al.

I never really liked the look of the TVR range. They do sound bloody good though (as they race past your 11 year old Metro). And if you had a big sports car you'd have to open her up from time to time. You know, just to see what it feels like! :) Graham

Just bought mi-self a second hand Peugeot 306 GTI-6. ( Standard 167BHP. :) ) I intend to tune and maximize the performance of the engine ... I like the car to be discrete; I mean the car should not look like a performance car: It just amuses me to see the looks on the faces of my unexpecting fellow-road-users :mad: when the devil-engine unleashes its power. BWAAAHAAAAHAAAAHAAAAA!! ( Get the picture ?? :-D ) It will not be so funny when I get the speed tickets :(( and the fuel bills :eek: though... -------------------------------------------------- If my messages appear curt, I apologize. I guess I'm the only one here so far that has any sense of style or concept of speed. Sure, all the cars you guys have mentioned so far are cushy little ooh-ahh exotic foreign crap, but you ain't been in a true sports car until you've been in one of those fire-breathing 427-powered blue convertible monsters. 200+ MPH in a car whose wheels and tires weighed more than the rest of the car is truly a sphincter-shrinking experience. Those teeth-buzzing 12-cylinder engines are impressive, but nothin compares to the bone-jarring idle of a race-prepped 427/SC Cobra. Some of those cars were delivered with a speedo that went from 0 to 200, and then tick marks in red that went past the "200" and led to the words "Oh Wow!". You guys are just a bunch o' sissies.
