I was checking out the new RealOne player from Real.com and noticed that the file open dialog looks very much like David Wulffs Office 2000 style File Dialogs for Win 95/98/NT/Me. Both have a slight flicker in the grey part and the "Look in:" text is drawn disabled briefly when you click the left hand buttons. In both also the buttons stay pressed when the mouse is pressed then moved out. Do you think that it is actually his code. I checked the credit and no credit was given if credit is due. Could have no relation just wondering. :bob: Joshua :bob: Sonork ID: 100.9944 ICQ: 519642 Hotmail: JoshuaJGuy@hotmail.com

Interestingly enough, I did add the little colour "issue" so I could tell if I was looking at one of Norm and I's dialogs. Of course, that does not mean it is. Does it resize? If so, does it have a really bad flicker problem. and if the side bar has tooltips, can you right click the tooltips to select "Copy" and "Print"? Even if they are using it, there is no requirement for credit to be given. ________________ David Wulff http://www.davidwulff.co.uk "I loathe people who keep dogs. Two other things I found that make me think that it is your code: 1) The side bars on each one do not resize when the dialog is resized. 2) Also if you right click on a side bar button and never left click on it, it will always be drawn as if the mouse is over it, even if you click other buttons. Both act this way. Here are screenshots of each one showing some of these "features". :-) Here It could be an older version because it looks like it has the old spaccing of 5. They are not using the drop-down ok button either. If it is your code, congrats. I think it is awesome that they would like the code enough to use it in their main product. :bob: Joshua :bob: Sonork ID: 100.9944 ICQ: 519642 Hotmail: JoshuaJGuy@hotmail.com

Okay, here is the ultimate "to end all" test:- When you mouse over a pressed button, does the buttun darken ever so slightly. (You'll need to look carefully for this). If so, it is likely based on my article, as I added that "feature" as a way to detect my dialog from the rest. If it doesn't, then it isn't based on the article. ________________ David Wulff http://www.davidwulff.co.uk "I loathe people who keep dogs. You got it... The pressed button is slightly lighter than the background grey, once the mouse moves over a pressed button it looks like the background color of that pressed button gets slightly darker to match the rest of the grey background. You need to add to your article: "As seen in RealOne". :-) If you ever get a chance to check the player out see for yourself, but I'm 99.9% that it's mostly your code. Congrats!!! :bob: Joshua :bob: Sonork ID: 100.9944 ICQ: 519642 Hotmail: JoshuaJGuy@hotmail.com
