When my mouse cursor moves over a search bar menu item (What's new, Lounge, etc), the browser generates a run-time error (java or java-script?) This also happens when the browser renders a page. This just started happening this morning (6:15am in Texas). "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001

You're up early. I don't have any problem either. Try clearing your cache and reloading.

Run-time error on line 59 when a page loads (this always happens), as well as various line numbers (from 120-160) depending on what page I'm on when the mouse is drawn over "What's New", "Lounge", "Contribute", "About Us", "Advertise", and "Forums". I've cleared my cache, and temporary files, and it still does it. I'm running Win2K/SP2 with IE 5.0. It didn't do this yesterday when I got home from work, so it's something that was done to the site last night. The error 59 is an "invalid character", and the rest of them are "object expected". "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001

Do you know exactly which version it is? I think there's some weird problem with 5.0, that's fixed in 5.01 and above. I've notice two problems with that version of the browser. The first one is the "object expected" one that you mentioned, and the second is it failing to navigate to a URL when you click on it sometimes. David http://www.dundas.com

IE 5.00.2314.1003 on Win98. IE 5.5 (on Win2000) works fine. /ravi "There is always one more bug..." http://www.ravib.com ravib@ravib.com

Regardless of what version of the browser I'm using, something was recently done to the website that rendered the version of IE that *I'm* using perfectly useless on this site. As I said, it worked FINE yesterday. "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001

I re-read my first response to your message and thought it may have come across as a bit, ummmm, abrupt. Not intend that way, I was merely feeling as bit frustrated. For what it's worth, I don't get the runtime errors today. "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001
