Sorry Tomaz I can't vote you a 1 for this because I fail to see the excitement over a bunch of foriegn films released on pay t.v. is about when 99.99% of people in Europe wouldn't bother watching them even if they were on free t.v. maybe I'm just being slow today but I take it your are trying to make some sort of point. Tomaz, I can go to my local public library in Phoenix[^] Arizona United States of America and borrow literally hundreds of non American movies on DVD without paying a direct fee. Funny you should use "otterly" like that. The reason I came up with "otter" is because it's a wordplay on Swedish. "Utter" means "otter" in Swedish. Since it's often used with adjectives such as "insane", etc, it's become kind of slang (at least with job colleagues of mine) to call someone or something "an otter" when they/it's out of the ordinary. :) -- Keep talking! Here's a hint.[^] It seems eurohochkultur, for which totalitarian European governments spent billions via government sponsored public media (which act as leftist ideology propaganda centers), government sponsored culture (buying loyalty to huge state and creating propagandists critical to any freedom initiatives), government sponsored movie production, etc. can be made into a commercial product - but the main argument for subventioning was always that people are dumb and that hochkultur can't be commercial - many times emphasizing "American barbarians" as an example of society without any culture. Ahh I see so all government sponsered public media is left wing and the supposed "American Barbarians" have actually shattered things by making some of the european government sponsered media available. right gotcha. O.K. couple of points 1, The majority of the people who are going to be interested in watching and paying for these films are by far the middle class left wing Americans. 2, Alot of these sorts of things tend to be references or remakes of past works which are considered classics, in England for example a large proportion of this is taken up with such characters as Dickens and Shakespeare and while Dickens by your standards will probably be considered a left wing reactionary Shakespeare has often been accused of sucking up to the royalty of the time and effectively writing propaganda that rubbishs other monarchs of ( his ) recent past that the current monarchs didn't particularly like.
