Yep, the weeks sure suck. Fortunatley i try to enjoy my weekends and with a 2 year old boy and an 8 year old girl (only see girl on a Sunday) i have plenty of fun things to do. :-D Make a point of really enjoying the fun things you get to do. Having kids makes us much luckier than most. Jon

For a temp fix: Relax its Friday, if your life is in a deep rut then turn the TV off and go to the Zoo or something with the family this weekend. You can choose goals for yourself, personally, and you can choose goals to work toward in a group of people, which may even be something so big that it spans generations. The point is, its not work, or even life, that prevents you from having goals to bring meaning to your life. Its you, yourself, that prevents this. However, your question is the first step on the path to enlightenment. Marc My website Traceract Understanding Simple Data Binding Diary Of A CEO - Preface

Sell your house, your car and whatever, buy a ticket to some far deserted island and move there. I know some people that did it: they found the paradise and have no problems. I'm not that kind of person... ___________________________________ Tozzi is right: Gaia is getting rid of us. My Blog [ITA]

Again same schedule for next day, I dont know what we want and what to achieve in life, what is the final destination of life? I had a talk with a couple from my 20 year class reunion, they were very envious of me and my life. I told them they obviously haven't heard all of it. They have a family, kids, house, cars, and although they struggled they break even. Well, I have no family, my schedule is still tight, sure I play music, take hikes, do photography, even started sketching again once in a while. But I have also had two divorces, still paying off debt from the last one, massive stress and lost portions of a number of internal organs. My point is not to feel sorry for me, I'm actually doing quite well now. My point is the grass really isn't as green as you think it is in the yard next door. ;) Be happy with what you already have. That couple at the 20 year, I told them I actually thought they were more successful than me which shocked them. What I have dies with me, and in someways I am actually thankful for that -- the bad past will not be passed on and repeated (except by my brother, but that is another issue). Any good that I have done will end with my passing, there will be none to carry on. I am in a technology field, so although I may make some waves now, technology changes so rapidly that on the day I retire, all my work will be ancient history within a couple of years. Be thankful for you family, it is an accomplishment in and of itself and a far more permanent influence than anything I accomplish. That couple was married almost 20 years, that is twice both of mine combined and they have far more happy memories to carry home from it. _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau. I love to hike, kayak, bike, etc. Which all involve starting out in one place and ending up in another. But for me the journey is the destination. Life is the same. Stop trying to find a "final destination" and enjoy the journey. Steve T
