Well, ironically, who you think are attacking you, think that you attacked them first.

As if, me and family, friends and people who I care about don't get affected by this clash. The world today has gotten so close and interconnected that its impossible to not get affected. Denial is not going to help.

Yeah, those sound like countries any freedom loving person would be proud of. What a tremendous cultural accomplishment.

No, you are helping to promote that misunderstanding. No action that our intelligence agencies or military have ever taken were done in a political vacume. The US spent the bulk of the 20th century saving the people of the world, including the middle east, from a return to true European imperialism. We may have made mistakes along the way, we may have made messes where we didn't need to, but the sum total of our efforts is a freer and more prosperous planet. As a nation we deserve credit for that not contempt, and I for one am not going to apologize to any fucking Muslim for having saved their sorry, ungrateful asses.

Spoken like a true Muslim fanatic. I just knew you had it in you. Moderate indeed! My country does what it does with my complete approval, so if you hate it you hate me and mine. If the rest of the world had the ability to exercise the least little bit of civil control over themselves our involvement would not be necessary. If our 'corrupt' government really wanted to conquer the world, we could just bring all of our "occupying forces" home and let all the ignorant, backward peoples such as exist in Islam slaughter each other for a few years, than we could just walk back out and pick up the pieces - it would all be ours for the taking without firing a shot. But that isn't inconsistent. Those nine judges were acting outside of their constitutional powers. They have no authority to decide whether something that is not in the constitution, and has not been decided on by our democratically elected legislators, should be legal or not. They are not empowerd to simply decide that something should be law just because they happen to be in favor of it. They are the judicial branch, not the legislative branch. That is what I am opposed to, not abortion itself. In any case, I was referring primarily to US foreign policy, not internal debates. Sorry for not being more explicite. So your country passed that (those) laws unconsitutionally. Did it do that with your approval? So you approve of some things and not others?

To the extent I participated in the democratic process which resulted in that constitutional abuse and neither left the country nor tried to overthrow its government by force, than, certainly, I suppose it must have met with my approval. I suppose the overthrow of the government of Iran in 1955, the government in Guatemala in 1954, the government in Chile in the 1970s were all just accidents. Remember, all these governments were legitimately elected by their people. Unlike a country where the Supreme Court stops the vote count while deliberating and then announces there isn't enough time anymore to re-count the votes.

You need to read the ruling. The Supreme Court said you cannot selectivly count votes in certain counties, if you are going to have a recount, you have to do ALL counties.

The US could actually supply most of its own energy needs for a few years with its own resources. The SUV owners would bitch about it, but if there is one class of people I detest more than rude, ungrateful Muslims, its SUV drivers. In any case you continue to validate my contempt for you. You are proof that there is no such thing as a "moderate muslim". You obviously hate the US. You spew the same anti-American vitriole as those trying to kill us. Why should I welcome you to a country which my people have fought so long and so hard to build? I suppose if the US just sat and let itself get slapped around by your terrorists buddies (you know, the ones actually brave enough to fight for what you believe in) and did nothing to defend itself, than you would be happy. You belong to a weak, ignorant, pathetic people who blame their inability to coexist in the modern world on a country that has never done anything other than try to help. It sickens me that someone as disgusting as you are is allowed to live here to enjoy the very way of life you condemn. "Capitalism is the source of all true freedom."

You wouldn't be shitting me, would you? The last time we had a UN report (under pressure from the US), it said Iraq had WMDs which was used by the US to invade Iraq. The question still remains: are people being patriotic ot just plain stupid? I like the T-shirt that says "I apologize that my President is stupid". So at least the question has been answered with regard to Dubya.

You need to read the ruling. The Supreme Court said you cannot selectivly count votes in certain counties, if you are going to have a recount, you have to do ALL counties.

It also said that Jan 20 is an absolute deadline to inaugurate a new president and there wasn't enough time. They COULD have ordered a recount in all the counties of Florid earlier but they didn't. They just wanted to make sure that Dubya got in by crook.

OK, so it was NOT a report but statements by various UN weapons inspectors who kept on sying they couldn't categorically state that Iraq had eliminated all WMDs. Everybody knew why the weapons inspectors worded their statements so negatively. It was US pressure.

It is only the US and Britain that looks stupid. And the support for war was far greater in the US than in Britain so we all know where the larger collection of idiots are. I was in the town of Montrose, Colorado in June. It is a little farming town in Western Colorado. On the day I was there, they buried a 20-year-old Marine who had died in Iraq who left behind a 10-year-old widow and a newborn son. It made me sick to read the news. Chicken-hawks like Dubya, Dick Cheney, etc., sent innocent young men to their deaths and you have the gall to support them. Of course you HAD to hide your name or nickname!

We love to share the wealth and freedom of our country with other people. You are merely taking advantage of that innate goodnes to spread your bile. I'm also sure you have found fellow America hating travelers as there are certainly enough of those around. If the rest of them really knew how you felt I can assure you they would not be so open.

Now you are wrong again, OK I never lived in a "Bible belt" state but I have met Republicans, Democrates, Liberals, Chritians (many churches), Jews, Hindus, godless whatever, and they all seems to share the same thought, may be not as strongly, but they all do. Most americans I have talked to, get their news from many sources and they all accept that how american media fueled the war frenzy, disappointed them. I would say, and have said, that to any American, Muslim or not. That kind of opinion is getting very damn close to outright treason.

Soapbox or not, you give lie to the myth of the 'moderate' Muslim. it is obvious that these anti-American sentiments are endimic to the Muslim world, and that the terrorism has a broad base of support among all Muslims at least at an intellectual level. If even well educated Muslims living in the west buy so throughly into the anti-Bush, anti-American paranoia, what hope is there?

B/c when he was free in doing his evil acts, the whole world turned a blind eye. (Hint: Remember how he persecuted Shiites and Kurds AFTER Desert Storm???) I can forgive some illiterate farmer in Syria for beleiving that crap, but not you. You should be able to see the broader picture. Any rationale person cannot blame the 'blind eye' towards Saddam on the current administration. It wasn't them turning any blind eye. Even if you are irrational enough to blame the US for Saddam's evil acts, it certainly was not the fault of George W. Bush. The worse possible thing any rational person can possibly say about Bush is that he used WMDs as a pretext both to liberate the Iraqi people and to get an valuable international resource, oil, out of the hands of a man who was increasingly out of control. There is absolutely no sane reason for any educated person to question his motives beyond those simple facts. Any one who does has an ulterior motive for doing so - a motive that certainly does not have the best interests of the US as its objective.

It also said that Jan 20 is an absolute deadline to inaugurate a new president and there wasn't enough time. They COULD have ordered a recount in all the counties of Florid earlier but they didn't. They just wanted to make sure that Dubya got in by crook.

Wrong again. Gore made the descision to go after the recount for certain counties. It was Gore's legal team's decision. It was a dumb stragety, and it all falls on Gore. And besides, many newspapers did their own recount, even the NY times (Liberal) did a recount and evrytime, the said Bush won. The florida constitution says that they needed to certify the votes by a certain date, I think it's in december. That had nothing to do with the US supreme court. I am stunned by how little you know about the situation but feel compeled to run your mouth. One would think you would study up on the facts first.
