      Well, I'm in a good mood right now (doesn't happen often, but hey), so I'll play. First and foremost you need to post this question in the appropriate forum. The lounge is our "no programming questions" sanctuary and we CPains will defend it. In our eyes you have sinned, but forgiveness can be found in the other forums. Now, regarding your question. This really depends on the authoring environment of your installation package. I'm used to InstallShield, so from that standpoint I'll say you do not need to write a separate exe, there's a setting to do this. Outside of InstallShield, there's a run once registry entry (I'll leave it up to you find it) and you can have your uninstall reboot the system (be polite and prompt first). You can use it to run anything as you would with a command shell (like del and rmdir). There's probably other ways to do it as well, but that'll get you started. Jeremy Falcon
