I haven't tried downloading this but it looks pretty cool from the screenshots. I'm not exactly sure how something like this would be useful though. http://www.hamar.sk/sphere/screenshots.html[^] Chris LaQuerre eBusiness Projects Leader

They also have a 3D desktop replacement. It looks rather interesting, but they are recommending a 3D graphics card with 64MB minimum. I would download and try it, but I am using a laptop with a crappy video card. While I could see some potential usefulness in the desktop replacement, I too fail to see the usefulness of the browser ("explorer" as they call it).

It was cool for about 5 minutes. They really need to sort out the usability before it will catch on. Also, the desktop replacement didn't work across my dual monitors.

As an alt-Tab replacement, that's probably useful. Seeing your applications arranged in space like that would be rather novel, and would give you a way of organizing multiple active applications. If they intend for you to actually work in the apps in that environment, you've need a lot larger display at very high resolution for the apps themselves to be readable.

Requirements: ... -.NET Framework 2.0 installed !!! Somehow, I don't think this app will meet my expectations with regards to speed and memory consumption. And please folks, before you start telling me how wrong I am, take a step back and look at what you write, and you will find that your zealotry is like that of Java people. .NET is slow(er) than a well written C/C++ app. (and no case specific, carefully crafted, and dubious test case will "turn" me) -- Pictures[^] from my Japan trip.

I have seen a few things like this, but for me, I do not see a lot of use for them. More monitors is my answer to desktop space :) Rocky <>< Latest Post: Snippet C# Compiler & More.. Blog: www.RockyMoore.com/TheCoder/[^]
