This is rich:laugh: I was just cruising for solutions on Tech Republic and found one pc wizard asking if it would be okay to customize a cable. Specifically, he had two PCs and one printer. His "idea" was to whack the ends off two cables, splice the wires together into a super Y-cable, and use it to connect both PCs to the one printer! I was laughing too hard to type an answer, but some of the geniuses that responded thought it would be a dandy solution:laugh: If every electronic appliance in your house blinks "12:00" all the time, you might be too stupid to own a computer...

I'm sure today's modern printers can guess that some idiot has fuxored the cable up and therefore determine where to send each bit down the cable. :) Simon Hey, it looks like you're writing a letter! Sonork ID 100.10024

There's a casino in Vegas called the Luxor and I was making an incredibly lame play on words. :) Jon Sagara What about :bob:?

LOL, I have to admit at one time I was this dumb, but with a serial cable. The funny part, the system admin, her boss, and the resident EE person thought it might work too. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Tim Smith Descartes Systems Sciences, Inc.
