Great choice!:-D I stared at that beauty for a long while before settling on the Olympus E-500[^] for budget reasons. No regrets, mind you - I got two lenses with the body for <$1000, and the photo quality is wonderful. Have fun with it! Nikon builds awesome cameras, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with yours.:-D "...a photo album is like Life, but flat and stuck to pages." - Shog9

whew! Although I love my D70 and don't regret getting it early, the D70s fixes a few bugs I have to work around, you will enjoy it. :-D I got the same kit as a D70, then rapidly added one zoom lens. now are you set up with a Flickr account so we can all see the results you get out of it??? _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau. These were taken with my Nikon 5700. Flickr[^]. Looking at them now, I just noticed the barrel distortion on a couple of them :( Others are from an office party last week. I was thinking of this lens as my next purchase Nikon Zoom Telephoto[^] Gary

I picked up the equivalent in a sigma lens, pretty much similar glass and lens size as well as telephoto range. I am saving for an ED or otherwise better glass as I do notice some of the distortions now and then. But I am satisfied with it as a learning lens, you have to start somewhere, and I certainly would NOT have wanted to fall in the Louisianna swamps with a lens as expensive as my camera. :) _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau.
