Dumb Q: What do you do with your old MSDN disks?

I realise this possibly a dumb question, but what do you do with your older MSDN disks? The reason I ask is that after nearlf two years as a professional subscriber my two wallets are full to busting, and I have a pile of disks (the foreign language disks, old index disks, etc.) I don't really need. And finally does anyone know of any place in the uk that recycles cd's/dvd's?

When we moved last year I had a major clear out and donated everything to my son's school compuetr dept. They seemed pretty happy with all of the discs, books and hardware I knew I'd never touch again.

<Bambi eyes>Give them to me?</Bambi eyes> I haven't looked into it myself, but a guy I know told me that an MSDN subscription costs what I make in almost a year. If * somebody's got disks they don't need, * it isn't too much trouble to ship them, * the shipping cost is not outrageous, I'd like to have them. You should keep them because the MSDN subscriptions aren't going to include Windows NT 4, Windows 2000 and a few other older versions. Depending on your line of work, you might need these older operating systems because your customers still use them or want to migrate applications away from them. I have a box full of them. My friend was originally going to use them to decorate the wall of her stairs, but she never got round to it.

My grandfather uses them (on string) to scare birds! Stuart Dootson 'Java, Basic, who cares - it's all a bunch of tree-hugging hippy cr*p'

Awww, shucks! :( I can't understand why they would want to stop people from doing it. There is certainly no money being made by you or me, and MS is not losing any money over this either. :( But if you ever change your mind, let me know - I'm still interested.
