The most active ones are this one: http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.vc.mfc and this one: http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.vc.language For win32 stuff, you can browse these newsgroups: microsoft.public.win32.* I hesitate to mention this, but perhaps you should be prepared to encounter some people on the public ng's who make John Simmons seem tame. So you must expect to sift thru the BS to find the answers you need, and get incredible abuse if you happen to ask a question in the wrong way, and thereby offend one of the ng gods. That said, please know that I have found information in the above ng's that I could not find elsewhere.

It's a matter of intensity and degree of vituperation.

Vituperation:- abusive or venomous language used to express blame or censure or bitter deep-seated ill will:rolleyes:

It was not for me to ask questions.I was looking for newsgroups where I could be part of discussions. I am already in MS MFC and win32 newsgroups. Vipin - MVP
