Man, don't "just tag along with friends" when they go to the computer shop. Brian and Ulla went to buy an MP3 player for another friend and I thought I'd check out the keyboards and mice but wasn't thinking of buying anything. So I walk out with a black iPod nano and they walk out with nothing. Been playing with it for the past hour or so and I am already wondering how I didn't get on this bandwagon sooner. What an awesome device. I have one question though; on Windows XP what is the easiest way to copy photos to the nano? I dragged a photo via Explorer but it hasn't shown up in the nano's menu. I see there is a "thumbnail" folder too. Am I supposed to make a thumbnail version and the original? regards, Paul Watson Ireland Colib and ilikecameras. I totally agree. I got a Video iPod for Christmas. I love it. The thing is freaking amazing.

I am sitting here adjusting the volume with broad, effortless strokes of my pinky finger (it is sitting next to the trackpad on my laptop as I type.) It blows my mind how good that feels. I wish my far-more-expensive laptop had volume control like this. No wonder Apple patented it and no wonder everyone wants to copy it. regards, Paul Watson Ireland Colib and ilikecameras. K(arl) wrote: oh, and BTW, CHRISTIAN ISN'T A PARADOX, HE IS A TASMANIAN!

Ah thanks Graham. I tried the trial of the full Anapod Explorer at first, then RTFMed and saw the trial didn't support copying photos. I didn't realise there was a trial version just for the photo bit. However I don't think I'll be paying $20 just to copy photos onto a nano. I' much rather pay $2999 when I get a MacBook Pro and use iPhoto  Thanks anyway :) regards, Paul Watson Ireland Colib and ilikecameras. Well to attempt to put the thread back in synch, sort of, you'll like you're ipod even more if you go out and get some Mozart CD's to burn to it! If you like vocal music the "Magic Flute" has some beautiful arias, and any of his Symphonies are great (IMHO). There were some specific Piano Concertoes that were awesome, but I can't remember the K numbers anymore :( ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire! hehe. Exactly. In fact, I barely use iTunes anymore. When I'm at my computer, I just listen to my iPod while it's plugged in. Then, when I want to walk away, I just disconnect. It's so cool. :)
