I'm not a racist

If you had used a derogatory (sp?) term for Canadians (is there one?) and Nazi for Germans while using camel jockeys for Arabs (I presume), then it would have been more truthful. :rose: for peace.

I'm not justifying anything - I'm merely countering the claim made by someone else that I am a racist. It's probably a national Canadian game plan. By giving the idea that Canuck is insulting, the rest of the world won't bother inventing something more derogatory. Pretty neat idea, if so :-D Regards, Nish

I didn't know that about eastern Indian, but I thought it was commonly accepted that the North of India was populated by the same 'indo-europeans' peoples that also migrated into Europe at about the same time. "You get that which you tolerate"

Nope - call him an American, he'll take offense to that! I'm pretty sure I would not like to live in a world in which I would never be offended. I am absolutely certain I don't want to live in a world in which you would never be offended. Dave

Does that encompass all Indians? I've heard in India there are 'white' Indians (Aryans?) that look more like caucasians and are suppossedly of higher caste than dark-skinned Indians. Do Indians have problems with racism within their own country? From my own experience even southern Indians consider themselves different from northern Indians. The East Indies would be the Indonesian archipelago. Cheers, Vikram.

'South India' is more of an ethnic term than a geographical one. The four South Indian states are mostly made up of Dravidians. The rest of India is largely Aryan, except of course the North-East, where people are of Mongoloid stock. Cheers, Vikram.

Yep, there are three races, caucasian, negroid and mongoloid. White, black and yellow! Negros are south of the sahara and Australian aborigine, mongoloid starts from burma and goes north and east and the native americans, and the rest is caucasian. Nunc est bibendum
