Here's the link U.S. Says China Boosts Internet Monitoring. It sounds to me that China is using corporations to monitor Internet use. Paul

I don't think it matters what people here think. China has demonstrated that China is what China does and that's that. If you don't like you either: A. Can go to prison or worse. (This means you live there and spoke up.) B. You live somewhere else and think China sucks. (You are a decent person and should do well in life.) C. China is a scary place and you don't even want to think about the oppression and pain it's people suffer under it's government and you have no desire to ever go there. (You are well educated.) D. It's China. That's the way China has always been there's not really anything to discuss. I pick B, C and D but I worry sincerely for all those that are A whether truthfully so or falsely accused. China is not a nice place (government wise).:(

I only read CP for the articles. Code-frog System Architects, Inc.

Good points made. I feel sorry for those who tried to speak their mind (which I think is a God-given right, not just a freedom) and are punished for it. I have no desires to go and visit, if I want Chinese food, there's a Panda Express 15 minutes down the mountain from here. If anyone from Chinese government is reading this post, and they don't like it, then X| China just needs to wake up and realize their government is holding back the potential of the people. Paul

Anyone Chinese or with more experience than I have feel free to correct me but I believe the above statement is exactly what the Chinese government has for intentions and always has had for intentions. There are very small pockets of innovation in China but those are largely influenced by Western Business Moguls it's under very close scrutiny of the Chinese government.
