Software And Stuff

So anyway, I have been getting legal and all with my and my wifes software of late (phucking Microsoft, shrinkwrap on the Windows XP Professional packaging was too tight, so the package was warped and so too was the Certificate of Authenticity, so it doesn't sit or stick correctly on the computer). So I am now looking for free or cheaper software to replace the dodgy stuff I was using. Windows XP Professional- now legal Office 2003 - now replaced with OpenOffice 2.0.1 WinZip 9 - Legal and on the Wifes WinRAR 3.5? - Buying next week for me Norton SystemWorks - Any recommendations on an AntiVirus and Utilities? Currently using none. CD/DVD Burning package - Image to iso or similar would be nice DVD Playing software Email - going to use Thunderbird, can it read/import .pst? Any other recommendations? I ditched Nero when v5.5 wouldn't play nice with my new DVD burner and v6 hosed my system. Quite sad because v5.5 was da bomb. For burning data discs and ISOs, I like DeepBurner[^] (free, get the "portable" version which doesn't even require an install). --Mike-- Visual C++ MVP  LINKS~! Ericahist | NEW!! For email, I just use Netscape's built-in email. Re .pst files, when I choose Tools > Import, Mail, Netscape does give an option to import both Outlook and Outlook Express. I don't use .pst files so haven't done a full test. http://openoffice.blogs.com

I like this one because it integrates with Media Player. http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd\_decoder.html\[^\]
Seeing as we both have ATI cards would NVIDIA be pissed off if I use it? Since Johnny Howard felates Dubya so much couldn't you Yanks make our Aussie dollar worth a bit more? ATI has a DVD Decoder pack that you can install, then use Media Player for DVD playback https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2.ati.com/drivers/atiCDwiz.exe[^]

I use Nero.
So do I. Had a valid Express edition backin the 5.0 days. Been using the 6.3.x.x dodgy version for the past year or 2, will look into the price online to see if it is worth the investment for the bit of burning I do or if a cheaper package wouldn't be better value for money. You've GOTTEN totally ridiculous over this Chris. May have my pub in the next coupe of weeks if all the shit hitting the fan at work falls into place instead of the 12 month wait I was expecting. If so, I expect a visit when your next in Australia for a free beer. Michael Martin Australia "I controlled my laughter and simple said "No,I am very busy,so I can't write any code for you".
