Ciao. I had some positive reviews 'bout installing vs 2003 and 2005 on the same machine. Is there any problem with installing SQL Server 2000 and 2005 on the same PC (the one with the 2 vs) ?? Ciao ;)

I had problems installing SQL server 2005 beta and SQL server 2005 EE on a machine which was running SQL Server 2000 (the commercial thing). I was never able to install either. The *same* thing happened to my colleague. I don't know if it is by design or due to some other flaw. Cheers, Vikram.

Not that I've found. I think there may be one or two minor issues, but I don't remember what they are. ColinMackay.net Scottish Developers are looking for speakers for user group sessions over the next few months. Do you want to know more?

Nope, works fine. I actually like having both as then I can use Query Analyser for lightweight operations against my 2005 dbs. regards, Paul Watson Ireland Feed Henry! K(arl) wrote: oh, and BTW, CHRISTIAN ISN'T A PARADOX, HE IS A TASMANIAN!

SQL Server by default does not install under an instance name. I believe you can force them to install under a specific instance name to differentiate the two versions - check the install documentation as it has this information.
