Okay, now that I've been convinced to get the MSDN Professional Subscription, I would like to know what a good price for it is? The best that I have found so far is on [Provantage](http://www.provantage.com/ target=) They are selling the full version for $1062 and the upgrade for $787. Each comes with a $110 rebate if you select the DVD media option, and the upgrade even has another $110 rebate until the end of the year! So that makes the upgrade $567 and the full version $952. Has anyone seen a better price than this? Also, what's to stop me from buying the upgrade version instead of the full version? -- Paul "I drank... WHAT?"

Buying the upgrade won't work because you don't actually get anything until after you register. Your purchase basically gets you the latest copy of the MSDN library and registration info. Upon registration, Microsoft ships you all of the latest stuff on CD or DVD. You can either register online or use the card that comes in the box. Registering an upgrade version will require your previous MSDN Subscriber ID, something you don't get (obviously) until after you've registered an MSDN subscription. Hope that makes sense? Good Luck!
