How to close web page using javascript

Hi when i call javascript in button click event. Conroem message is display. If I click on yes button ,page is closed. But I want that when I click on button , page is closed without displaing confrom message. Please help me.............. thanks Chetan

You generally can't close the main window without having the user to confirm it. You can cheat some browsers to think that the window is opened by another window by setting the opener property, but that will probably be fixed in later versions. --- b { font-weight: normal; }
