Well not to rub it in too much but I have just found a new job after being unemployed since just before christmas. Wasn't too bad as I wasn't strictly unemployed - I was on paid leave while they decided to make me redundant or not. They chose to make me redundant last friday so I am still on paid notice and get my redundancy money and I start my new job on Monday. Sorry, I know that doesn't help you too much but I just had to tell someone :) James Spibey I love the word naked, it's brilliant isn't it, 'naked'. If it's any consolation, I was only in that gang for three weeks. The market is still strong, if you've really got the Mad Skilz. -c

I had been working on a big multi-million pound project at Heathrow but unfortunately September 11th stepped in and all major projects were cancelled. Seeing as we had no other work in the bag and nothing to bid for I knew we were in trouble so I started looking around just before christmas. However, nothing really started happening until the third week in january for me - I guess no-one looks for new staff straight after christmas. So there we are - new job on Monday designing airport related IT systems and automated warehousing control systems (it's more exciting than it sounds).
