I did, until I reached lvl60 and found there was nothing left to do for the 'casual' player... X| Apparently the 1.10 patch (coming today in the UK) is supposed to address this somewhat...

its actually kind of brain dead, you run around and do all sorts of corny repetetive quests. but somehow they trigger you to always want to get a little bit better and get that extra good equipment and such... highly addictive...

it looks, but when i see that you must pay each month for having a key that allow you to play online, i dn't even want to see further :~
I can live with 10 euro a month. Its like 3-4 rental movies where I live.. And I can spend way more time in wow in that time than those movies would last.

Try Guild Wars. It's free to play online. Just have to buy the game itself. I agree with you though.:sigh: ------------------------------------- Do not do what has already been done. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.. but it ROCKS absolutely, too.

I played it for a while. Got to level 34... however found it too repetitive and time-consuming. Great game though if you have plenty of spare time.

I can't see what is the attraction in wow. Some of my friends play it WHENEVER they have free time. I watched them play, and saw this: Walk around beating things up at a lower level than yourself so that you can gain more levels. Walk around avoiding being beaten up by people at a higher level. Everyone wants to be the strongest. (DBZ here we come) What happens when your at the strongest level? I dont know but I guess no-one will want to take you on, you'll have nobody to play with. I would like to give it a try and prove myself wrong, unfortunately I don't have broadband at home.

I don't. I never have. I used to play AoE2, but I don't have a PC anymore. :( Cheers, Vikram.

yeah, i know about the price, but it's too expensive !!! look, you give 10€ a month, but becomes 120€ per year !!! and so much if you continue playing like that for long time... no really, i can't stand with games that request to pay each months to play. i'm ok to pay the game, ok to buy an extra license to play online, but once it is paid, it should be enough.

As in THE Neverwinter Nights? Got that a few months back. Installed it. Created a character and talked to the first guy. That's about all I had time for:sigh: However, I have gotten almost half way in Resident Evil 4 on my Gamecube. Guess blowing zombies away with shotguns is more fun that chopping them up with swords for me:laugh: ------------------------------------- Do not do what has already been done. I have it on CD, but I dont play it. I guess it should be interesting , but I prefer to sleep or do other things these days instead of starring at the monitor for hours (catching up with age :(). But I've seen the cinematics of WarCraft, that's really Awesome. Excellent graphics. An update on your Favourite game.^;) I love AOE2 forever.

At the game developers conference I was happy to not be involved in one WOW conversation. Now that I am back at BioWare, every morning in the lunch room there is a conversation about some raid somewhere dropping something. :/ Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.

The more scary thing is, you can pay a "company" (usually based in India or China) to play for you to get you to a specific level (e.g. 34). So I don't think that anyone will ever get to be the strongest for too long :) "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots.
