I'd need to suggest a solution for our company VB coders to deploy VB6 code as a NT service, and that code may be a COM component, it don't need to be a vb6 generated .exe. As we know, there are a lot of solutions for that, varying about security and quality. As a Visual C++ coder, I never had to do something like that. I'd like your opinion about the best way to provide this functionality, I thought about constructing a C++ service wrapper to COM components (vb coded), using the really old NTSVC.OCX, and so on. I'll appreciate any comment. Thanks in advance. GuimaSun www.nexsun.com.br NEXSUN TechZone

Check this out[^] I've used the "VB-friendly NT Service API Functions" to create a VB6 NT Service before. They are in the NTVBSvc type library. If you cannot find it, let me know. I have a copy from 4 or 5 years ago. ---------- There go my people. I must find out where they are going so I can lead them. - Alexander Ledru-Rollin
