    Can we install VS.net along with Oracle 9i ? Do we need IIS server ? As the web services for IIS & Oracle uses the same port(port 80 ). Pls let me know how to install vs.net along with Oracle9i. Thanks, Arpita

      Hi Arpita, Ofcourse we can install vs.net and oracle 9i on same machine. If you want to design web services or web applications you will need IIS server or if you only want to design windows application then IIS wont be required. When Oracle 9i is installed, by default Apache server is also installed. But there would be a conflict if you start both IIS and Apache together. Both IIS and Apache can be installed but only one server must be active at a time. There is no specific procedure for oracle 9i and vs.net to be installed on a machine.
