I dont know, although I would guess not. However, what I do know is that british cheese is the equal of french cheese. In the area of hard cheeses british cheese is better, it is only with soft cheeses that france traditionally has the lead, but britain is catching up, although it has a lomg way to go befre it produces an Epoise for example.
